  • Can I print from my device to the Library printer?

    Yes, the library offers mobile printing using Princh.  The steps do to that can be found on our Mobile Printing page.

  • Does the Library accept donations of books and other materials?

    In order to provide our patrons with the best materials possible, the Mason Public Library accepts the following donations in clean, usable condition:

    • Fiction
    • Non-Fiction (if not outdated)
    • Children’s books
    • Paperbacks
    • DVDs/CDs
    • Vinyl Records

    All donations are appreciated, but the Library CANNOT accept the following materials:

    • Damaged items, including those with:
      • Stains
      • Mildew
      • Torn or missing pages or covers
      • Wet or musty pages
    • Magazines, newspapers, pamphlets, or Reader’s Digests
    • Textbooks
    • Reader’s Digest Condensed books
    • Encyclopedias older than 3 years
    • VHS and audio cassette tapes
    • Obsolete or outdated materials including:
      • Career Guides
      • Computer manuals
      • Financial materials
      • Price guides
      • Scientific data or manuals
      • Technical manuals
      • Telephone books
      • Travel guides
  • Does the Library accept volunteers?

  • Does the Library have Teacher cards?

    No.

  • Does the Library meeting rooms for public use?

    The Library has meeting rooms that can be reserved by non-profit organizations and community groups, with certain restrictions.  You can review the meeting room policies, check availability of a meeting room, and reserve a meeting room on our Meeting Room page.

  • Does the Library proctor exams?

    The Library does not offer proctoring services.

  • How do I get a library card?

    If you have never had a card at the Mason Public Library, getting one is easy.

    Anyone who lives, works, attends school or owns property in Ohio may apply for a library card.

    The Library requires photo I.D., proof of current address, and a completed application.

    Children are eligible for a card at birth, and a parent or legal guardian of children under 14 must be present to sign a child’s application.

  • How do I suggest a title for the Library to purchase?

    Patrons can suggest titles for purchase using this Suggest a Title form.

  • How many items can I check out? How long can I keep the items?

    This information can be found in Mason Public Library’s borrowing policies.  Young Adult and Juvenile cards may have additional limitations

  • How much does it cost to print, scan, fax and photocopy at the Library?

    The library has options that allow you to photocopy, print, scan, and fax.

    Photocopies:

    • 10 cents – per page b/w copies
    • 50 cents – per page color copies

    Printing:

    • 15 cents – per page b/w copies
    • 50 cents – per page color copies

    Scanning (with email capabilities):

    • 10 cents per scan

    Faxing:

    • $1.00 – per page
